Nigerian Army Denies Killing Chibok Girls In Airstrikes, Declares Journalist Ahmed Salkida Wanted

Following the release of a purported video which appears to show about 50 Chibok girls alive and some allegedly lying dead following a purported airstrike by the Nigerian Army,Ahmad Salkida, the freelance journalist who got access to the exclusive video has been declared wanted.

Salkida is renowned for having access to Boko Haram commanders and exclusive information regarding the group . Others wanted are ,Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil..
Read statement by the Army below:

The world is quite aware of the abduction of several persons; women, children and men, including the female students of Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State Nigeria by Boko Haram Terrorists group.Consequently, appeal was made for their unconditional release by the Federal Government. The military also made concerted efforts to rescue them.

We also appealed to Nigerians that have any information to volunteer to the military or security agencies to enable us rescue them.
However, two recent incidents have pointed to the fact that, there are three individuals namely; Ahmed Salkida, (Ambassador) Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil that have information on the conditions and the exact location of these girls.
Therefore, the Nigerian Army hereby declare the two gentlemen and the lady wanted for interrogation. We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the Terrorism Prevention Act 2011 (as amended) where Nigerians could be punished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorists activities.
This become necessary as a result of their link with the last two videos released by Boko Haram Terrorists and other findings of our preliminary investigations. There is no doubt that these individuals have links with Boko Haram Terrorists and have contacts with them. They must therefore come forward and tell us where the group is keeping the Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us rescue them.

We are therefore calling on all Nigerians and peace loving people to give us useful information on their whereabouts. We are also liaising with other security agencies for their arrest if they failed to turn up.
You are please requested to kindly disseminate this information to the public through your medium.
Thank you for your kind and usual cooperation.Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations

Meanwhile in response to the video, the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, said it was near impossible for the military to have killed innocent people during air strikes..

He said
“Currently, we are studying the video clips to verify its authenticity and analysing the comments of the speakers in the video, especially the terrorist member and the girl that spoke in mother tongue.”“It is extremely difficult and rare to hit innocent people during airstrike because the operation is done through precision attack on identified and registered targets and locations.“The Precision Airstrike is very effective at taking out targeted enemies because it is not a random operation.
In the video released, some 50 girls are shown with a masked gunman man, who said that some of the girls have been wounded and have life-threatening injuries, and that 40 have been "married".
Speaking in the Hausa language, the gunman says the girls on display will "never" be returned if the government does not release Boko Haram fighters who have been "in detention for ages".
The video concludes with footage of bodies, said to be the victims of air strikes, lying on the ground at another location.
