Kanu Leads Nigeria Legends For Pele Celebrity Match


Pelé, famous for scoring goals, winning three World Cups, two World championship and nine sate championship in his career will be visiting Lagos for the YEDA Legend edition 2016 organised Winihin Jemide Series (WJS) and Youth Experience Days Africa (YEDA).

The three day event is focused on the development of the Nigerian youth and will bring together football loving teenagers, parents and key figures within Lagos State Government, corporate and football regulatory bodies.
This event will include a sports clinic (football tournament/celebrity match), an exclusive dinner with Pelé and other African football legends scheduled to hold on the 24th September.

There will be a chance for football aficionados to own Pelé memorabilia at an auction during the dinner with the proceeds going to the Kanu Nwankwo Foundation and the City of David Football Academy. The football clinic spanned from September 22 – 23, 2016 will conclude with a celebrity match featuring Kanu Nwankwo, Victor Ikpeba, Peter Rufai, Timi Dakolo and Gideon Okeke at the Campos Mini Stadium, Onikan Lagos.

Children from the football clinic will be part of the teams to partake in the Legend Cup tournament and photo sessions with Pelé. The exclusive dinner with Pelé will take place on the 24th September at the Skylounge, Eko Hotels and suites Victoria Island Lagos.
