241 Nigerians Repatriated From Libya (Photo)



At least, 241 Nigerians have been repatriated from Libya, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has disclosed.
NEMA’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Farinloye said the 241 Nigerians were repatriated on Tuesday from Libya and landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 3:41pm.
“The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) facilitated the repatriation of the 241 returnees from Libya today. The breakdown indicates that 67 female and 174 male were repatriated,” he said.

According to Farinloye, three of the returnees were receiving treatment s at LASUTH,
“NEMA received the returnees at rhe MMI Airport, Lagos and gave refreshment and facilitated their transportation to their respective states of origins or their places of destinations with transport fares.
“The returnees are some of the stranded Nigerians trying to look for green pasture in foreign land through Libya. The Director, Relief and Rehabilitation, Alhaji Bafale Sambo received the returnees on behalf of the Director General of NEMA. The returnees arrived the MMI Airport at 3:45pm today,” he stated.
