Captain of the Brazilian U-23 team, Neymar, has boasted that Germany will not stop the country from clinching the precious Olympic football gold. Neymar on Thursday said that the momentum was back with the home team and the players would be ready for the Germans at the Maracana Stadium on Saturday.
The Barcelona player inspired Brazil to beat Honduras 6-0 on Wednesday while Germany also pipped Nigeria 2-0 in an encounter decided in Sao Paulo.
Neymar said the opposition was not important for now since the players have regained confidence. “We are back in good condition. We did not start well but now, we are playing well, scoring goals and the confidence is there for us. “The gold medal is very precious to Brazil and we are going to win it. Germany cannot stop us this time,” he said.
